Recommendations

The Recommendations aim at supporting the planning of inclusive educational policies in universities for students with intellectual disabilities. The Recommendations are relevant for:
  • Undergraduate students with and without disabilities because they offer information on what a friendly university should be and therefore they will be aware of their own rights and those of their peers in the case of undergraduate students without disabilities.
  • Teachers because it offers guidelines to improve their functions.
  • Administration and services staff as a roadmap to plan inclusive and friendly services for people with intellectual disabilities.
  • University rectors and leaders because the recommendations facilitate the decision-making agenda for the inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities and enable universities to network.
