Conclusions
The multiplier event had the objective of presenting the results achieved by the IHES Project, particularly within the Italian context, in a comparison with other European countries. Therefore, a reflection was made on the need to present the proposals elaborated within the Final Recommendations to the Institutions, in order to be able to overcome all the obstacles that currently prevent people with disabilities from accessing university and/or obtaining a degree. In this regard, much emphasis was placed on those experiments that are currently active, such as the one promoted by the Università 21 Association that collaborates with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, which allow students with intellectual disabilities to follow university courses, adapted to their complex training needs, but nevertheless very inclusive.
Finally, in agreement with the lead institution, the Pablo De Olavide University, the possibility of joining an international network was launched in order to continue to tackle these issues in synergy with the various European countries and the individual players involved, pursuing both the research aspect and the operational aspect, with spin-offs in individual contexts.
